There were many items in the news last week affecting the industry. One of the more notable was the Senate passing a bill retroactively reinstating the $1.01 per gallon tax credit for biodiesel. While the bill must still be reconciled, and the health care debate will likely prevent that until April, it can be certain that the tax credit will be reinstated. This will allow producers to continue with their plans to bring more production on line.
