Houston
2011 Summer Associate Program Dates: June 27, 2011 - August 12, 2011
The summer associate program is designed to simulate the experience of a new lawyer beginning his or her career with Andrews Kurth. Summer associates have the opportunity to spend their summer divided between two practice areas.
Assignments
Designated partner and associate sponsors are responsible for assigning and evaluating the summer associate’s work projects. Additionally, each summer associate has the opportunity to work with other lawyers in his or her selected practice areas.
Summer associates participate in client meetings, negotiations, drafting sessions, closings, hearings, depositions and trials. This experience provides law students opportunities to observe and evaluate the firm and its practice areas through involvement in a variety of projects.
Extracurricular
In addition to work experience, summer associates can expect a full schedule of social events for networking and fun. We plan activities that appeal to a variety of interests. It’s a way for summer associates to enhance their understanding of our firm, our culture and embrace all that Houston offers.
