The Woodlands
2011 Summer Associate Program Dates: June 27, 2011 - August 12, 2011
Woodlands office lawyers provide one-on-one guidance and support to each member of the summer associate program.
Summer associates can choose to work in multiple practice areas or in one specific practice area. They receive mentoring by at least one partner and one or more associates in the respective areas.
As a result, summer associates can make an informed decision about their practice focus.
Assignments
Summer work assignments involve direct participation in our office’s current client matters, providing the summer associate the opportunity to enjoy interesting work while contributing substantially to The Woodlands office and its clients.
Each Woodlands office summer associate experiences a full schedule of events for networking and fun, including participation in many of the Houston office activities.
If desired by the summer associate, the six-week period can be divided between assignments in The Woodlands and the Houston office, so long as there are available opportunities for such coordinated program.
Evaluation and Feedback
Ongoing dialogue and feedback are all essential to the program. Through the daily work and networking, our summer associates find out what it is like to be an Andrews Kurth lawyer. A detailed review occurs at the end of the program and the firm considers the entire experience of the candidate, allowing us to make an informed hiring decision.
