Tom Kline moderated a panel discussion entitled: “Unfinished Business: Continuing Restitution of Art Works Looted During the Holocaust: Private Litigation, Public Responses” as part of a conference on “Culture and Conflict: The US and the 1954 Hague Convention,” held at the National Trust for Historic Preservation and sponsored by the Lawyers’ Committee for Cultural Heritage Preservation and the U.S. Committee of the Blue Shield. Lynn Nicholas, author of The Rape of Europa: The Fate of Europe’s Treasures in the Third Reich and the Second World War, was the keynote speaker and her address was presented in the form of a conversation with Tom.
