RAVE—Random Access to Various Experts—is an edgy and entertaining forum to learn from and connect with Austin’s tech and business leaders. RAVE 3.0 takes the current RAVE 2.0 format (crowdsourcing) and adds a new dimension: the power of crowdtalking. The conversation theme for this RAVE is tech talent and everything that has to do with nurturing it. The event encourages free and open dialogues about the theme in hopes of snowballing into a vibrant, back-and-forth of ideas where the attendees get to be the speakers. Social media clients like Twitter will serve as parallel portals for questions and dialogues before, during and after the event.
 
Speakers: 

• Steven Tomlinson, Ph.D. in economics from Stanford University and coaches Fortune 500 executives on communication skills and strategies.
• Valerie Hausladen, an Austin-based author, speaker and consultant. She is also president and founder of Edge Communication Group, an untraditional management consulting team based in Austin and servicing clients nationwide.
