Brigitte has experience in all areas and with all types of real estate (such as shopping centers, hotels, office buildings, office parks, industrial parks, restaurants, and franchised properties, including fast-food establishments, gas stations, and convenience stores). She advises clients on transactions involving real estate portfolios and multiple properties in multiple states, emphasizing lending, leasing, sales and acquisitions, and sale-leaseback transactions.

Brigitte represents landlords and tenants in the preparation and negotiation of retail, restaurant, office, shopping center space, and other general leases for all types of commercial properties, including master leases in the multiple property context and sale-leaseback transactions. In addition, she assists buyers, sellers, and investors in the acquisition and disposition of all types of commercial properties (with special expertise in hotels and franchise properties), handling the preparation and negotiation of purchase and sale agreements, brokerage, marketing and management agreements.

Brigitte works in all areas of commercial mortgage and asset-based lending, with special expertise in the representation of franchise and mortgage loan originators in lending transactions. Her expertise includes, the development and updating of program loan documents and guidelines for closing processes and procedures, loan documentation and negotiation, and supervision of the loan closing and the due diligence process.

In the workout and restructure context, Brigitte has substantial experience representing lenders and their servicers and borrowers in problem loan modifications and workouts, restructurings, property dispositions, substitutions and releases, including as part of receivership or bankruptcy proceedings, with expertise in all aspects of forbearance and settlement agreements, post-petition debtor-in-possession financing and revolving line-of-credit agreements, deed-in-lieu agreements, and foreclosures.
