Christopher’s real estate and banking/finance practice involves a broad spectrum of local and national matters. He represents both landlords and tenants in commercial leasing of downtown and suburban office buildings, retail projects and industrial warehouses, and advises on the acquisition and disposition of both raw land and income-producing properties. Christopher offers comprehensive counsel on the development of industrial and office buildings and retail shopping centers. In connection with the foregoing, Christopher works with a full array of construction law issues, including drafting and negotiating architectural service agreements, construction contracts, design/build agreements and development management agreements. Christopher’s finance and banking experience includes the representation of both lending institutions and borrowers in commercial financing transactions including the negotiation and preparation of financing documents for real estate acquisition, construction and permanent loans as well as workouts and restructuring of such transactions. Christopher also has extensive experience in the negotiation and drafting of limited liability company agreements and limited partnership agreements.

Representative Experience

  • Represented Wrightwood Capital in connection with financing the acquisition of a 373,000 square foot office building located at 1001 McKinney in the Central Business District of Houston, Texas.

  • Represented General Electric Capital Corporation in connection with its mezzanine debt portfolio including workouts in connection with existing portfolio.

  • Represented PinPoint Commercial, LP in connection with the acquisition and development of Hobby Business Center, a 350 acre logistics and industrial park located immediately adjacent to Hobby Airport in Houston, Texas.

  • Represented USAA Real Estate Company, as landlord and developer, in a build-to-suit transaction with Igloo Products Corp., as tenant, in connection with a 914,195 square foot corporate office, manufacturing and warehouse facility that will serve as a headquarters for Igloo.

  • Represented various landlords owning, in the aggregate, more than 2,000,000 million square feet of office, retail and industrial space in Texas, Georgia, Louisiana, Rhode Island and Illinois.

  • Represented numerous tenants in connection with commercial leases for office, industrial and retail space, including office leases for the respective corporate headquarters of Exterran Energy Solutions, L.P. (formerly Hanover Compression Limited Partnership), Common Resources LLC and eCardio Diagnostics LLC.

  • Represented building ownership in connection with the negotiation of a lease agreement for approximately 100,000 square feet of Class "A" office space located in the Galleria area of Houston, Texas.
