Mark has a corporate and securities practice that focuses on a variety of transactional and governance matters. He represents clients in mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities offerings, venture capital and private equity transactions.
Mark also advises clients on corporate governance issues and counsels both private, public and nonprofit boards of directors on governance and other matters (ranging from Sarbanes-Oxley compliance to family business transactions). He has in-depth experience in acquiring, disposing and advising entities in financial distress and the dissolution and liquidation of professional partnerships (including law firms). In addition, his practice regularly involves intellectual property issues such as trademark and technology ownership, protection and licensing.
Mark is also a frequent speaker and author on a variety of business and transaction topics. He is consistently recognized by his peers as a Texas Super Lawyer in securities and corporate finance in Texas Monthly magazine and has been recognized as one of the Best Lawyers in Dallas in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions in D Magazine.
Mark is the Managing Partner of the Dallas office and a member of the firm's Executive Committee.
