Sharon's practice focuses on the representation of lenders and borrowers in structuring secured and unsecured credit facilities, including asset-based lending facilities, structured finance transactions, securitizations and mezzanine loans. She also has substantial experience advising clients in connection with the acquisition and management of hotels and the development, financing and sale of hotel assets.
Sharon also has extensive experience in providing debt and capital restructuring advice to lenders and troubled companies, advising stakeholders in debt workouts and restructurings, and in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings in connection with reorganization plans and avoidance actions and section 363 sales and liquidations. In connection with her finance practice, she frequently advises clients regarding the negotiation of interest rate and commodity hedging arrangements.
Prior to joining Andrews Kurth, Sharon was an associate at the former law firm of Sheinfeld, Maley and Kay in Houston.
Before becoming an attorney, she practiced as a Certified Public Accountant for a national accounting firm.
