
Chasless L. Yancy
Associate
Chasless Yancy's practice combines bankruptcy restructuring and litigation with financial transaction work and commercial litigation. She represents clients throughout the United States in in- and out-of-court corporate restructuring and reorganization as well as the defense of various bankruptcy litigation adversary actions and commercial litigation. Bankruptcy clients include debtors and debtors-in-possession, secured and unsecured creditors, committees and Chapter 7 and liquidating trustees. Litigation clients include corporations in the oil and gas, construction and natural gas industries, as well as individuals. Chasless also served as a volunteer prosecutor for the City of Houston.
Representative Experience
Recently, Chasless has worked on the Chapter 11 cases of Scholl Forest Industries, Inc., Gulf Coast Oil Corporation and its affiliates, Kitty Hawk Airlines and 2600 Park Living, Ltd. Chasless has also represented priority and secured creditors including a major financial institution and a worldwide restaurant franchisor in the Chapter 11 bankruptcies of Lyondell, Lehman Brothers, Flying J. Inc., Drake Printing Corporation and P.O.W.E.R., LLC.
