Katie’s practice centers on advocating for clients’ interests in energy matters before the Public Utility Commission of Texas, and in drafting and negotiating energy-related legislation. Katie also represents clients in market-based energy issues at the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), and assists large electric consumers with regulatory compliance in site planning and structuring electricity agreements.
Katie also represents landowners in transmission line routing cases, and has obtained favorable outcomes for landowners in more than ten routing proceedings since 2009. In addition, Katie has general experience in regulatory/administrative law and represents clients in various matters before many Texas agencies, including the Texas Racing Commission and the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts.
