Andrews Kurth in the Top Five Firms for Promoting Women to Partner
(HOUSTON) - The Project for Attorney Retention (PAR) has reported Andrews Kurth LLP as one of the top five law firms for promotion of women lawyers to partner.
“This distinction is an honor,” says Bob Jewell, Managing Partner. “The women who were elected to the partnership this year are committed to their practice, clients and the success of our firm; we are fortunate to have them with us.”
In addition to being a founding member of PAR, Andrews Kurth has a Women's Initiative Team (WIT) that is focused on developing initiatives to recruit, develop and retain women lawyers. Offering various professional development and networking opportunities as well as mentoring programs, quarterly luncheons and a flex path for lawyers of both genders, WIT continually seeks to implement programs that can provide women lawyers who make Andrews Kurth their home with the skills and opportunities to succeed. The firm also supports attorney retention through its Professional Development and Diversity programs.
“Being listed among these five firms reflects the value we place on our women lawyers and their success,” added Meredith Mouer, Partner and Co-Chair of the firm’s WIT. “Andrews Kurth continues to develop initiatives that provide our attorneys with unique tools and resources to enhance their professional development.”
