Andrews Kurth Announces New Leadership for Houston Recruiting Committee

(HOUSTON)―Andrews Kurth has announced that Michael Shaw and Tammy Brennig will assume leadership of the firm’s Recruiting Committee for the Houston office.

Shaw will serve as Chair of the Committee and as the Houston Hiring Partner. Brennig will serve as Co-Hiring Partner.

“We are committed to the vertical hiring process and we intend to continue to hire law students who are at the top of their class and who fit in with the culture of our firm,” said Shaw. “I look forward to working with Tammy to recruit individuals who will be the future of one of Houston’s oldest and most prominent law firms.”

The firm actively recruits top students from leading law schools in Texas and throughout the United States. Andrews Kurth also actively recruits top lateral candidates and provides a personal and professional development program for the firm’s lawyers.

Shaw is a partner in the Business Transactions section of the firm. He focuses his practice on finance, real estate and energy matters. He received his BBA in 1992 from The University of Texas and his JD, magna cum laude in 1997 from University of Houston Law Center.

Brennig is also a partner in the Business Transactions section. She received her BBA, magna cum laude in 1990 from Lamar University and her JD, cum laude in 1992 from South Texas College of Law. Brennig is an active member of WIT, the firm’s Women’s Initiative Team.
