Andrews Kurth Partner Kathleen Wu Named One of Dallas’ Best Women Lawyers
(Dallas, Texas)—Andrews Kurth LLP is pleased to announce that Kathleen Wu, partner, has been named as one of the Best Women Lawyers in Dallas by D Magazine.
To compile the list, D Magazine asked lawyers who are current members of the State Bar of Texas to nominate lawyers in their primary area of practice. The list was finalized by the editors and an anonymous panel of eminent lawyers.
“It is an incredible honor to be voted among the city’s best women lawyers,” says Wu. “It is particularly meaningful to know that you are being recognized by your peers.”
This is the second time Ms. Wu has received this distinction from D Magazine. In 2009, she was selected to the DirectWomen Board Institute, a program designed to identify and promote qualified women lawyers to serve on corporate boards of public companies. In addition, she was selected as one of only 30 "Extraordinary Women in Texas Law" by Texas Lawyer and was recognized as one of "Dallas/Fort Worth's Most Influential Women" in the Dallas Business Journal's inaugural Women in Business Awards program. Ms. Wu has also been selected to the "Most Powerful and Influential Women in Texas" list by Texas Diversity magazine, as well as recognized as a member of the 2007 edition of the Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers in America and as one of the top real estate lawyers in Texas on several occasions. Texas Monthly magazine has consistently named Kathleen a Texas Super Lawyer for the past six years.
Wu earned her law degree from the George Washington University Law School and her undergraduate degree from Columbia University. Her practice is concentrated in the areas of real estate, finance and business transactions.
