Andrews Kurth Represents IDB in $20 Million Subordinated Loan to Banco Interamericano de Finanzas
(Washington, DC)—On January 11, 2012, the Inter-American Development Bank (“IDB”) closed on a financing facility to Banco Interamericano de Finanzas S.A., a Peruvian bank, consisting of a US$ 20 million subordinated loan qualifying as Tier II capital as defined under the Peruvian Banking Law and Peruvian Regulation on Subordinated Debt. The proceeds of the subordinated loan are to be used for increasing the Borrower’s Effective Capital and financing the origination by the Borrower of long-term residential mortgage loans in the Republic of Perú.
