Roger Feldman Joins Andrews Kurth

October 3, 2006

WASHINGTON, DC – Andrews Kurth announced today that Roger Feldman, a prominent DC finance lawyer with more than 30 years of experience in domestic and cross-border transactions, has joined the firm in its Washington, DC office as of October 2, 2006.

Roger’s practice includes contracting and financing for energy, environmental and infrastructure projects. He advises lenders, project developers and financial intermediaries in project financings, structured financings, asset acquisitions and portfolio divestitures in the U.S. and overseas. His current focus is the financing of renewable and other clean energy projects and carbon reduction, including ethanol, bio-diesel, coal gasification, biomass, energy efficiency, wind, solar and landfill gas.

“Roger is an extremely experienced project finance lawyer with a strong reputation for representing clients in the kinds of business transactions this firm does best: domestic and international energy deals and similar development projects,” said Office Managing Partner Tom Kline. “He is a careful, conscientious and skilled practitioner. We are very pleased that he will be working with us as part of the growing transactional team at Andrews Kurth and helping us to broaden our energy strength to include renewable as well as traditional energy sources.”

“The move to Andrews Kurth affords me a great chance to be a part of a nationally-recognized energy corporate finance team,” Feldman said. “Andrews Kurth’s demonstrated teamwork in meshing the tax, environmental and financial incentives now available for clean energy makes it ideal for my practice. The experience and depth of that team will allow me to enhance and expand the services I can offer my clients.”

Feldman serves on the Board of the American Council on Renewable Energy, the editorial board of The Journal of Structured Finance and is a featured columnist for Merchant Power Monthly. He chairs the American Bar Association’s Special Committee on Energy and Environmental Finance. He is named in The Best Lawyers in America, 2007.

He received his JD in 1965 from Yale Law School where he was Editor of the Yale Law Journal. He received a MBA in 1967 from Harvard University, with distinction, and graduated from Brown University in 1962 with a BA, summa cum laude.
