Andrews & Kurth Adds Partner and Of Counsel to New York Office

NEW YORK -- Andrews & Kurth announces today the addition of Lynn Judell as partner and Anju Uchima as of counsel to its New York office. "The additions of Lynn and Anju allows us to further expand our strong litigation client base in New York as well as our other offices," said managing partner Howard Ayers. "We will be able to further enhance our current abilities to satisfy our clients' needs and foster the growth of our New York office."

Ms. Judell was a founding member of the firm Rosenthal, Judell & Uchima. She concentrates in representing clients in securities, employment and contract disputes. She received her B.A. from Pomona College in 1980 and her J.D. from the University of San Francisco in 1984. After practicing in San Francisco from 1984 through 1987, Ms. Judell joined the litigation department of Schulte Roth & Zabel, where she practiced until 1994. In 1994 and 1995, Ms. Judell practiced with the antitrust bureau of the New York state Attorney General's office, where she investigated several high-profile corporate transactions for compliance with New York's antitrust laws. In addition to the New York bar, Ms. Judell is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts in California.

Mr. Uchima has broad experience in general commercial litigation including transnational business disputes for domestic and foreign clients. He received his undergraduate degree from Sarah Lawrence College in 1980 and is a graduate of the New York University Law School, where he received his J.D. in 1983 and his LL.M. in international law in 1994. Also a founding member of Rosenthal, Judell & Uchima, Mr. Uchima practiced in the litigation department of Schulte Roth & Zabel, from 1986 to 1994.
