How We Work
At Andrews Kurth Kenyon, “straight talk” guides everything we do. It’s how we converse with clients, colleagues, courts—and even our adversaries. It means we pursue issues head-on, rather than detouring into legalese. It means we cut through the confusion and find simple solutions to help our clients succeed.
Who We Are
Decades ago, our founder Frank Andrews envisioned a firm where every individual practiced law in a manner “that the firm would have always the full confidence of clients and the trust of all people.” Since 1902, we have worked to live up to this founding goal by embracing an unwavering set of core values. We deliver unsurpassed client service, focusing on our clients' needs and objectives. To ensure success, we consistently hire the best and brightest, value diversity and inclusion in our workforce, practice internal cooperation and mutual respect, and thoughtfully manage and deploy our institutional resources. These values formed our foundation in the last century, and our firm stands strongly upon them to this day.
Today, Andrews Kurth Kenyon is proud to be recognized as a firm that manages complex legal matters in all major industries and areas of business law and litigation. We build the best team for each client by using a multidisciplinary approach that combines knowledge, experience and individual strengths. The result? Our clients obtain legal guidance that’s efficient and effective. This way of practicing has garnered the firm a diverse group of clients. In fact, many of them have entrusted their legal issues to us for a very long time. We are proud that our consistent and thoughtful approach has forged these close and loyal relationships.
What Others See In Us
Andrews Kurth Kenyon consistently receives high marks from Chambers & Partners, Legal 500, Thomson Reuters, The American Lawyer Scorecard, Bloomberg, Managing Intellectual Property and other respected ranking bodies. We are proud of this recognition—because it tells us that we practice at the highest levels. We want clients to have high expectations of us. It makes us all the more determined to deliver excellent representation and service.

We appreciate that our profession affords us certain advantages, and we wholeheartedly believe in giving back.
The Foundation of a Strong Firm
At our firm, diversity and inclusion are core values and our approach is strategic, hence the tagline: Collaborate * Align * Perform. Having diversity and inclusion as core values is more than just the right thing to do—it is a key to our growth and success, as well as the success of our clients. We may have been first among our peers to have a partner dedicated full-time to diversity and inclusion strategy. We recognize that women and members of historically underrepresented groups bring distinct views and life experiences that allow us to transcend cultural, gender and political issues around the globe. We have a Diversity Committee and a Women’s Initiative Team, which works to recruit, retain and advance our female lawyers through networking and mentoring opportunities and innovative policies such as Flex Path, a reduced hour partnership track. We strive to lead the way in the area of diversity and inclusion, creating and retaining a high-performance team of diverse legal professionals for our clients.
